We all have had that one co-worker who never pulls their own weight--whether it be laziness, lack of motivation, confusion on how to do the job, they are always there and always pretend everything is everyone else's fault. Personally, I have no patience for these types of people, as they are basically like a mosquito that keeps attacking you and never goes away.
So why do we deal with them? Why aren't they just fired? I don't think we will ever know. However, this is how you can motivate them!
1) Highlight their good points- this is hard to do but so important because most people thrive off of positive feedback and clam up with negative feedback.
2) Let go the little annoyances- if you try to correct absolutely everything, they will be annoyed and will push back an ignore you.
3) If things get really bad, make people aware to correct them; don't assume that they don't want to improve.
How do you handle hard co-workers? Let me know in the comments!
